Felix Kempf was elected mayor of Planegg near Munich, the headquarters of ISAR Bioscience, in 2026. Through this office he is a member of the supervisory board. He studied physics at the University of Munich and completed his PhD in theoretical biophysics in 2021. Since then he has worked as an actuary. He had been a member of the Planegg municipal council since 2014. His municipality is home to numerous renowned research institutes and biotechnology companies in its districts of Martinsried and Steinkirchen and is considered a center for life sciences and biotechnology in Germany.
