Innov­a­tions for the devel­op­ment of new drugs

Great expect­a­tions are pinned on the devel­op­ment of dis­ease mod­els based on stem cells. ISAR Bioscience con­ducts research on mod­els and mech­an­isms related to Alzheimer’s dis­ease and the immune system.

Thanks to iPS cell tech­no­logy, nearly unlim­ited quant­it­ies of human cells are avail­able today. This makes it pos­sible to study dis­ease mech­an­isms that are unique to humans. It is also hoped that stem cell research will help reduce the need for animal testing.
