Man­fred Wolter has been the chair­man of the super­vis­ory board of ISAR Bioscience since its found­a­tion. Since 2016 he is head of the Depart­ment Innov­a­tion, Research, Tech­no­logy, Digit­al­iz­a­tion in the Bav­arian Min­istry of Eco­nomic Affairs in Munich. After com­plet­ing his stud­ies and his doctorate (Dr. rer. oec. publ.), Man­fred Wolter began his pro­fes­sional career in 1997 in the Tech­no­logy Depart­ment of the Bav­arian Min­istry of Eco­nomic Affairs, before he led the Pres­id­en­tial Office of the Max Planck Soci­ety for three years. In 2004 he returned to the Min­istry of Eco­nomic Affairs, where he ini­tially held a senior pos­i­tion in the budget depart­ment. From 2008 to 2011 he was Head of the Minister’s Office, and from June 2011 to Octo­ber 2016 Head of the Depart­ment of Fun­da­mental Issues, Innov­a­tion and Tech­no­logy Policy, Bio­tech­no­logy, Med­ical Technology.
