Corona research: BfArM gives green light for further development into a therapy against COVID-19
The German Federal Office for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) in Bonn has evaluated the preclinical data on the therapy of respiratory symptoms in the wake of a SARS-CoV2 infection (COVID-19) in the context of a “Scientific Advice”. The data generated to date on the novel therapeutic (Article: Treatment of breathing difficulties with Covid 19) were considered sufficient for preclinical “Proof of concept”. Thus, toxicological testing can be completed and subsequently clinical testing in humans phase 1a/b can be started.
