Andreas Hochheimer has been the Chief Technology Officer of ISAR Bioscience since its beginnings and heads the Research & Development department. He is a biologist and holds a PhD in microbiology from the University of Marburg. He then worked with Robert Tijan at the University of Berkeley and at the University of Munich before moving into industry. He was head of the “Taste Cells” research division at BRAIN AG and was subsequently responsible for several years at AMGEN in Regensburg for drug screening in the fields of neurodegeneration, inflammation, metabolic diseases and cancer. During this time he established successful collaborations with public research institutions. Andreas Hochheimer did his habilitation in biochemistry at the University of Darmstadt and taught there and at the University of Regensburg.
